For the first time ever, federal lobbyists will now be held accountable for complying with the new ethics laws addressing gifts, travel, and reporting of political contributions. The new LD-203 form was released at the end of June and all registered lobbyists must sign and submit this form by July 30th. Anyone who violates the gift and travel rules can now be subject to fines and possible incarceration -- in the worst case scenario.

The problem for most lobbyists is that the form was just released on June 30th so there is little time to review and submit this form.
  • Will you be able sign with confidence?
  • Have you read the gift and travel rules?
  • Do you understand them?
  • Have you kept track of your political contributions?
  • Have you kept track of any travel expenses for Members that fall within the exceptions?

To help lobbyists get started and provide you with an opportunity to ask questions if you are confused about specific aspects of the form, this one-hour briefing will be offered on two dates to provide you with the information and assistance you need to sign with confidence. Registrants will be provided with all the documents they must review and have the opportunity to pose questions prior to, and during, the call.
